Abstract. This chapter takes up Andrew Thacker’s suggestion that Woolf’s novel records a form of spatial history. Zink charts this history, moving from the highly gendered divisions of the late-Victorian home, symbolised by emblematic spaces such as the sickroom and the study, to new modes of living across the : Suzana Zink.
